Alloy-tuned Carbon Electrode Work Function Improves Charge Extraction In Inorganic Perovskite Solar Cells
Apr,27,2023

In recent years, all-inorganic perovskite solar cells (PSCs) based on light-absorbing layers have attracted close attention from researchers due to their excellent chemical stability and low cost, and their photoelectric conversion efficiency has continued to rise and record. It is found that the charge extraction ability of inorganic PSC devices plays a key role in improving photoelectric conversion efficiency. Classical inorganic PSC devices employ a thin film as the light-absorbing layer with a valence band energy level of −5.6 eV, and the 0.6 eV energy difference of −5.0 eV generated by the work function of the carbon electrode makes charge extraction difficult and limits the photovoltaic performance. Therefore, how to achieve efficient charge extraction is one of the research hotspots in the field of all-inorganic PSCs.
